Amazon offers free shipping with a purchase over $25, so I thought my readers would want to take advantage of that deal.
As a result, I am now an amazon.com affiliate and I earn a small percentage of each purchase made through my blog. I have also applied to become an affiliate for One Step Ahead. I plan on using the commissions to make donations to local non-profits benefitting children and to purchase materials to use with the kiddos on my caseload since many of them come from low-income families who cannot always afford the toys and materials I'd recommend for them. My ultimate goal is to be able to earn enough to purchase a wheelchair-accessible swing for a group home of profoundly developmentally disabled adults who could benefit greatly from a calming outdoor activity.
